Have you thought about what goes on behind the beer-making process? This is your chance to hear from a chemist the details of what goes on behind the scenes to turn grains into beer. Brian Mathes will be giving an exciting talk about the chemistry of beer. No chemistry knowledge is required!
If you are a chemist, we would also like to invite you to join us for a networking opportunity. We will be hosting a mentorship program pairing with industry and academic professionals. Students and chemists (over 21) of all levels are welcome to join!
If you are already a member of the ACS Indiana Local Section Mentorship Program and attend the event with your mentor/mentee, you will be reimbursed.
The tickets include 5 tastings, 2 beverages, and small bar bites!
See you at #ChemsitryofBeer2021.
We as scientists, recognize the systemic inequities within the scientific community. Due to that, we are taking tangible actions to address and mitigate inequities, and endeavor to accelerate the integration of a culture of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility across the science halls. We will host our first, annual two-day virtual symposium featuring perspectives regarding the challenges associated with being a minority in chemistry. Our goal is to empower our members while providing a safe learning space where topics can be freely discussed.
